Mama Morning Time

Homeschooling moms NEED and DESERVE teacher training. Why?

You ARE a Teacher

You teach multiple children, multiple grades, multiple subjects. And you probably never went to school to learn how to do it. You don’t need a degree or a license, but you do need some tips, tricks, and direction.

Homeschooling is Serious Business

Homeschooling is not your hobby. You have a right to receive training for such an important job. A hair-cutting license requires 1,400 hours of training. You should feel empowered to pursue some training for your job.

Competence Fuels Confidence

When you feel like you know what you’re doing, you’ll feel more confident in your work. And when you feel more confident, you will experience more peace and joy in your homeschool.

So What is Mama Morning Time?

We begin with a short presentation – about 45 minutes – on a topic related to homeschool teaching, planning, or organization. There are handouts and worksheets. I love worksheets.

The presentation is followed by facilitated group discussion and Q&A. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear from other moms and to brainstorm solutions to common (and not-so-common) homeschooling concerns.

Homeschool moms are interesting and inquisitive people. We leave plenty of time to mix and mingle and discuss the nitty-gritty details of life as a homeschooling mom. Coffee, tea, and pastries are provided. 😉

When, Where, How Much, and other FAQ’s

In homeschooling, the concept of “Morning Time” often refers to the time when the whole family gathers to learn together. It is meant to be a cozy time of sharing ideas and exploring the world together. It is a time of rich learning because hearts and souls are nourished as well as minds. Mama Morning Time is meant to create a warm and inspiring environment for homeschooling moms to explore information and develop skills that will enrich your homeschooling lives.

Yes. A $5 discount is available for the following situations:

  • Your first Mama Morning Time

The short answer is yes!

Babies and toddlers are very welcome and easily accommodated. I will do my best to accommodate older children as well. When the weather is nice there is lots of room outside. There is room inside as well, and we will make it work. Worst case scenario, I have a room at the back of the house with access to Disney + !

Topics for the next three Mama Morning Time meetings are available on the registration page. I will choose topics based on the needs of attendees. If there is something you’re dying to talk about, let me know!
